Samsung Galaxy A12 and Samsung Galaxy A02s: Comparison Table
The table above has clearly stated the specs of each device and has also gone further to identify which areas one device is better than the other in thick bold letters. So let us go further to state out the similarities and differences between these two smartphones.
Samsung Galaxy A12 and Samsung Galaxy A02s: Similarities
The first and most obvious similarity between these two devices is the fact that they are produced by the same company and are also for the same line-up (Awesome series). Moving forward to the more important things that these devices share in common, we have the screen size to talk about. They both have 6.5-inch PLS IPS displays with a 20:9 aspect ratio, and the same amount of pixels. Battery life and charging speed also stand out as features these two mid-rangers share in common. The same 5000mAh battery is present in the two devices with a 15W fast charging brick packed in their individual retail boxes. Also, both devices support a major Android update for 1 year. They both run Android 10 out of the box, but they can both be upgraded to Android 11. Asides the already stated similarities, there are no other similarities to point out.
Samsung Galaxy A12 and Samsung Galaxy A02s: Differences
First, I want to talk about storage. The Galaxy A12 has more storage options, unlike the Galaxy A02s, which gives 64 GB as it’s maximum storage limit for its ROM capacity. The Galaxy A12 peaks its storage limit at 128 GB on the ROM. When it comes to the RAM capacity on the two phones, they both peak at 4 GB of RAM, but with the A12 you are getting a slightly faster storage. Now to the processor. The MediaTek Helio P35 chipset on the Galaxy A12 makes it a better option to the Galaxy A02s’ Snapdragon 450. As far as raw power is concerned, the Galaxy A12 is the right pick for you. Glancing your eyes at the camera abilities of these two devices, you will see that the Galaxy A12offers better spec’d camera than the A02s. The Galaxy A12 has a quad camera setup which houses a main 48MP shooter and even a 5MP ultrawide camera, while the Galaxy A02s has a less powerful 13MP main camera with rather weak complimentary cameras and no ultrawide camera. For the selfie shoots on the both devices, the Galaxy A12 is the clear winner with its 8MP shooter. Another very noticeable difference is the fact that the Galaxy A02s does not have a fingerprint sensor, while you have a side mounted fingerprint sensor on the Galaxy A12. So if you want a smartphone that you can unlock with biometric data, consider getting the A12 instead of the A02s.
